Inspector
General Summary
The prime objective of the Inspector is to do inspection running and stopped equipment’s to the best efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
- All kinds of equipment inspection as per schedule received from the inspection and lubrication foreman and as and when a need raises.
- Active participation in all corrective actions resulting from above inspections.
- Comprehensive feedback to the inspection and lubrication foreman on all the jobs they take up and results at the appropriate time.
- Actualization of inspection results in the scheduling system and raising work request for all the abnormalities found during the course of their job.
- In case of emergency to take immediate by informing inspection and lubrication foreman or his superior and the concerned departments.
- To carry out all special inspections as directed by their superiors like Internal inspections etc.,
- To have at all times a good overview of all equipment’s through comprehensive visual inspection.
- Maintenance of all condition monitoring instrument.
- Proper care of tools and tackles issued to them.
- Timely Information on material and spare needs to be given to the inspection and lubrication foreman on a regular basis.
- Shifting of all necessary material to site of work and back.
- To cooperate with lubricators and other inspectors in case of need or as directed by their superiors.
- To ensure housekeeping of the area of work is maintained properly.
- Should be at all times safety and environment conscious.
- Strict adherence and knowledge of organizational systems like procedure, instructions etc.,
- To do all and sundry jobs as and when required by the plant and as directed by his superiors.
- Sees to it objectives of the department is fulfilled in all respects.
