General Summary

Responsible for overhead, JIP and remote crane, operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Observe and make sure loads are safely attached and within lifting limits.Crane operator must also process a valid crane driver’s licence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate crane under own and general supervision.
  • Manipulate or depress crane controls to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
  • Inspect crane for safety issues on a daily basis.
  • Determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
  • Lift, position and place machinery, equipment or other large objects.
  • Assist in clearing the cobbles and later disposing them as required
  • Set up and change saw blades as required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities(Contd)

  • Scale skips position and removal as when required
  • Work with in precise limits and safety standards.
  •  Operate crane according to signals from helper

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Knowledge and layout of other area inside HSM to carry out crane driver duties as required.

Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)

Below Higher Secondary

Any preferred professional training

  • Safety training certificate in operating crane.
  • Training lifting tackles and slinging

Professional Experience (Must haves)

Minimum 2-4 years experience and a valid over head Crane Driving Licence.
