Engineer- DRP Lab
General Summary
Monitor daily activities of Laboratories of phase I & II and provide support in quality control of DR plant, SMP, Rolling mills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
- Monitor the daily operations of DRP plants laboratories to ensure services are provided to the other departments
- Schedule necessary engineering/project interaction while ensuring daily equipment maintenance requirements are still met.
- Coordinate with DRP process engineers and SCM for any abnormalities/ deviation of raw materials specs.
- Plan daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance required for the machines for DRP laboratories to ensure availability throughout the year
- Evaluates equipment utilization and recommends improvements through planned inspections.
- Plan and arrange to carry out calibrations of DRP lab equipment to ensure accuracy of results reported
- Prioritizes repair efforts to minimize impact on production when faced with multiple equipment issues
- Coordinate with SAP team for PM activities and spare parts & consumables procurement, by preparing purchase requests to ensure timely availability of spares for the equipment.
- Plan and organize calibration of DRP lab equipment as per the plan twice to ensure the accuracy of DRP lab equipment.
- Coordinates and delegates tasks and directs workflow to meet daily objectives. Maintains all Technical Services and Facilities business metrics.

- To maintain and comply with the company safety, health & environmental aspects at the workplaces to avoid injuries, damage to equipment/environment
- Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety, environmental practices, area processes, and waste reduction opportunities.
- Any additional job related assignment by department manager .
