Field Operator

Role Purpose

To carry out the assigned area field activities as per the control room requirements / as per SOP’s, safe turnover of equipment for maintenance and maintain housekeeping and implement safety in the field. Monitoring the field equipment’s and take timely action to avoid breakdowns and delays.

Accountabilities & Activities

Key Activities

• To set the field equipment, valve positions as required for the process and advised by control room.
• Safe turnover of equipment for maintenance.

• To communicate with Senior Field Operator / shift supervisor on any deviations and guidance
• Familiarize with shutdown and start up procedures and emergency handling procedures for safe operation of the plant
• Fill field log sheets and keep track of deviations in the parameters.
• To maintain the house keeping in the area
• To follow SDS and safety procedures and contribute to zero LTI
• Checking the field safety equipment (eg. Eye washers, Fire extinguishers etc) and maintain it its proper position and report any abnormality.
• To maintain 5S in respective areas.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• To act as senior Field Operator as and when required
• To train in the panel operations as and when assigned.

• Ensure compliance to all relevant management policies, procedures, and controls within the ESA to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Qualifications/Experience

Minimum Qualification

(Educational Qualifications, Trainings, or Certifications)

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)  

• Higher Secondary School / ITI

Preferred professional training (Nice to have)

• Tennova HYL Training
• Training in Boiler operation, pumps and compressors
• Training in safety related programs

Professional Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in large petrochemical/ Fertilizer /Gas based DRI Plants
• Field data logging and identify abnormalities.

Experience Recommended (Nice to have)

• Gas based Tennova HYL DRI Plant Operational experience
• Hot Discharge Tennova HYL Plant
