General Summary

To lead the Mechanical Maintenance team for the Heavy Section Mill (RM4) to ensure smooth operation of the plant equipment by Planning and execution of scheduled preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repair activities as well as trouble shooting during unscheduled major breakdown of all related equipment and facilities for HSM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision:  Develop a highly competent and motivated work force, Prepare staff reports, task and Targets, development plan, training and leave schedules.  Prepare maintenance plans for all mechanical equipments of Material Handling in coordination with the planning section.  Discuss operations problems and optimizations with operations department in coordination with the Departmental Manager – HSMs  To lead, develop, train and evaluate HSMs maintenance team (instruction and guidance to Supervisor, Sr. Technician & Technician)Budgeting & Costing:  Responsible for preparing & proposing accurate annual budgets for management approval to implement the operational plan effectively and managing maintenance activities within the allocated budgetary provisions to ensure cost effectiveness.

Planning for Contingency:  Responsible for planning and execution of scheduled Preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs to optimise production & reduce downtime.  Responsible for trouble shooting during breakdowns all related equipment and facilities.  Identify frequent equipment failure and breakdowns and find out the root cause to solve the problems (if required modify in existing design). Manage Delivery Targets:  Manage HSMs section resources and activities and ensure deliveries are met according to agreed tasks and targets in a professional, responsible and cost effective manner. Safety, Quality & Environment:  To follow all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental management policies, procedures & also ensure awareness about these in his staff.  Follow mechanical maintenance standards for all equipment in the Heavy Section Mill, to ensure machine safety and to void accidents and hazards.  Adhere to ES LSR and follow proper work instructions and the relevant control measures , aware of PTW system , isolation , mobilization , JSA,…  Policies and Procedural Implementation:  Ensure that all HSMs maintenance are inspected, maintained or overhauled in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner, according to best maintenance philosophies, procedures and practices.  To follow all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental management policies, procedures applicable to maintenance related development, and isolation system , and to support the supervisor and senior technicians for 5S principles and all related topic and alike for the current time and for future adaption of the management .

Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)

Bachelor in Degree or Engineering

Any preferred professional training

Effective communication skill.  Knowledge of IT (MS - Office) & SAP

Professional Experience (Must haves)

Total 10-15 years Experience :  About 6-8 years experience in Mechanical maintenance in long product hot rolling.   5 Years in a Management Position
