General Summary
The Strategic Partnerships Manager will be responsible for establishing, managing, and expanding strategic collaborations with government entities, industry stakeholders, and public institutions. This role will focus on aligning the company’s business objectives with governmental policies, fostering long-term relationships, and unlocking growth opportunities that support the company’s strategic goals. The individual will act as a key liaison between the organization and government bodies, ensuring compliance and promoting mutually beneficial partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Development
- Identify, develop, and maintain partnerships with government entities, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
- Lead collaboration efforts with ministries, public organizations, and regional authorities to align with national economic goals (e.g., sustainability, industrial growth).
- Work with internal teams (legal, sustainability, production) to develop business proposals for public-private partnerships.
- Government Relations and Advocacy
- Monitor government policies and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks relevant to the steel sector.
- Advocate for the company’s interests by participating in industry consultations, policy dialogues, and committees.
- Manage engagements with government officials to build goodwill and promote the company’s strategic initiatives.

- Project Management and Execution
- Coordinate cross-functional projects involving government entities, partners, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Develop MOUs, agreements, and contracts with government partners and stakeholders.
- Track and report on the progress of partnerships, identifying any potential issues and suggesting solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Organize and manage high-profile events and meetings with government representatives, industry leaders, and partners.
- Prepare presentations, briefing documents, and reports for senior management on partnership developments.
- Serve as the company spokesperson for external engagements with public stakeholders.
- Compliance and Sustainability Alignment
- Ensure that the company’s partnerships align with national policies, regulatory frameworks, and sustainability goals (e.g., decarbonization efforts).
Promote the company’s ESG initiatives through government collaborations, contributing to circular economy and sustainable steel production

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities required
Minimum Education Qualification (Education Degree)
Any preferred professional training
Bachelor’s degree in business, Public Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Professional Experience (Must haves)
10 years of experience in strategic partnerships, government relations, or public affairs, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sector
Previous Experience/exposure Recommendations
- Strong knowledge of public policies, regulatory frameworks, and government processes relevant to the steel or heavy industry sector.
- Proven ability to develop and manage partnerships with government bodies, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Project management experience with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sustainability trends and national agendas such as industrial growth, decarbonization, and economic diversification.
- High proficiency in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Ability to create presentations and reports for reporting and lobbying purposes
