Panel Operator

Role Purpose

 To carry out the control panel operations of material handling systems, Reactor charge and discharge systems, Hot DRI Transport to SMP, Cold DRI handling, de-dustings systems, cement coating.  Maintain the process parameters as per daily operating instructions and as per SOPs. Monitor and take timely action to avoid delays and unsafe events.

 

Accountabilities & Activities

Key Activities

Process Maintenance:

  • To operate the assigned areas of the plant safely and maintain the process parameters as per the daily operating instructions to achieve the Departments targets

Coordination:

  • To coordinate with field staff and setting the field position of equipment and valves as required for the process
  • To communicate with shift supervisor / Senior Panel Operator on any deviations and guidance
  • Coordinate with MH Department for raw material feeding and Product discharge system.

Safety Standards:

  • Familiarize with shutdown and start-up procedures and emergency handling procedures for safe operation of the plant

Plant Records:

  • Record process parameters in the log sheets

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train for gas panel operation
  • Train the assigned person on the panel

  • Ensure compliance to all relevant management policies, procedures, and controls within the ESA to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

 

Qualifications/Experience

Minimum Qualification

(Educational Qualifications, Trainings, or Certifications)

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)  

  • Minimum Secondary School / ITI

Preferred professional training (Nice to have)

  • Tennova HYL Training
  • Training in SIEMENS Control System.
  • Process Safety Training
  • Exposure to HAZOP

Professional Experience

Professional Experience (Must Haves)                

  • 3-5 years of experience in large petrochemical/Fertilizer /Gas based DRI Plants and at least 3 years in Tennova HYL DRI Plant
  • Worked as control room operations foreman or in charge at least for 3 years
  • Operational Experience in Siemens / Honeywell / Yokogawa Control system for 3 years.

 

Experience Recommended (Nice to have)

  • Gas based Tennova HYL DRI Plant / MIDREX Operational experience
  • Experience in Hot Discharge & Pneumatic transport system Tennova HYL Plant
  • Siemens control system
  • Safety trainings
