Role Purpose

 To lead the shift production group for safe operation of the plant and to meet the production and HSE targets by timely action and proper guidance to the shift crew and with proper coordination with Maintenance departments.

Accountabilities & Activities

Key Activities

• To operate Plant Safely as per Standard Operating Procedures & Work instructions.
• To pursue the daily operating instructions and implement it to achieve the Department targets.
• To provide guidance and troubleshooting to minimize the delays
• To assist in developing standard Operating Procedures / JSA and quality systems and implement
• To identify the training requirements for the team and nominate to improve the skills.
• To promote teamwork and motivation among the team to attain the targets
• Timely corrective actions to reduce the waste
• To ensure compliance to HSE by conducting periodic awareness sessions, safety meetings to achieve safety of the personal and property
• Coordinate with maintenance departments for timely reporting and completion of jobs
• Safety observations / closure of Safety observation by timely actions.
• Issuing Permit to Work after proper risk analysis and mitigation measures.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• To support & assist developments of new Joiners.

Safety, Quality & Environment

• Ensure compliance to all relevant management policies, procedures, and controls within the ESA to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Qualifications/Experience

Minimum Qualification

(Educational Qualifications, Trainings, or Certifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, Metallurgy engineering
• Technical Chemical/Mechanical/Metallurgy Diploma

Preferred professional training (Nice to have)

• Tennova HYL Training
• Safety Training.
• Exposure to Integrated Management System
• SAP

Professional Experience

Professional Experience (Must Haves)                 

• 4 years of experience as a bachelor’s degree holder
• 10 years of experience for Technical Diploma
• Worked as shift production supervisor for 3 years

Experience Recommended (Nice to have)

• Gas based Tennova HYL DRI Plant Operational experience
• Hot DRI Tennova HYL Plant
• Tennova HYL DRI Plant Panel operating experience
