Senior Roll, Stand & Guide Fitter

General Summary

Oversee assemble Rolls, stands and associated equipment as per the given instruction & as per the requirement of Production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)

Assembly Line:

• Oversee assemble Rolls and stands as per the running sizes in the mills.

Preparation and Planning:

• Oversee ready the spare stands for the size rolled to overcome any unforeseen problems.

Machine Maintenance:

• Oversee servicing and overhauling of mill stands.
• Ensure to maintain and overhaul the QTB & QTR Equipment.

Assistance and Facilitation:

• Ensure facilitation for the Guide fitters, to make the Guides ready for the stands.
• Ensure to assist the block fitters as and when required.

Policy and Procedures:

• Ensure adherence to the company Quality and Environment policy.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• To work on the other areas as instructed by the Supervisor

• Knowledge of all type of rolls and stands used in the mills.
• Knowledge to assemble stands as per the rolling schedule and size
• Knowledge of the pass schedule for different rolling sizes.
• Knowledge of all associated equipment used in the assembly of stands

Minimum Education Qualifications (Must Haves)      Any preferred professional training (Nice to have)
