Specialist- Procurement Raw Material

Role Purpose

Procurement Specialist will support the procurement team under the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining foundational experience in procurement. Procurement Specialist will be assisting with placing purchase orders, managing supply demands, and ensuring compliance with organizational guidelines. And collaborate with internal teams, provide responsive support, and help deliver accurate data to support procurement initiatives. Working closely with seasoned colleagues, contribute to the team's goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

 

Accountabilities & Activities

Key Activities

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Supports the documentation of appropriate business knowledge required for an effective sourcing approach.
  • Supports the end-user department needs identification.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams and assigned sourcing initiatives.
  • Cultivates strong, value-added relationships with internal stakeholder groups.
  • Treats internal stakeholders as key clients and aligns service and communication accordingly.
  • Supports internal Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement targets.
  • Supports Category team members in the management of supplier/contractor performance, in order to achieve continuous supplier performance improvement and timely execution of corrective action plans.
  • Performs negotiations on assigned sourcing strategy
  • Participates in negotiation planning and execution as required by the Category Expert, Procurement Manager and / or Executive Buyer.
  • Applies Total Cost of Ownership and Best-Value principles in sourcing.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity for contracts and supplier databases.
  • Adhere to procurement and safety policies and procedures.
  • Work across business lines to optimize supplier performance, quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Build trust with internal partners, understand their priorities, and contribute to sourcing strategies.
  • Support assessment of supplier competencies, cost analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Assist category teams with RFx processes, spend analysis, contract evaluations, and negotiations; collaborate with finance to identify savings and enhance controllership.
  • Attend meeting with planning team to ensure delivery of material on time.
  • Use procurement tool to execute PR-PO cycle on time.
  • Execute PRs-POs in accordance  with on DOA and Procurement procedures

  1. Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Support the promotion of a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety initiatives and fostering safe work practices. Assist in managing safety risks, monitoring equipment, and contributing to performance outcomes. Ensure compliance with EHS legislative requirements and the Company’s EHS policies, procedures, and standards among team members and contractors.

 

Qualifications/Experience

Minimum Qualification

(Educational Qualifications, Trainings, or Certifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business /Procurement/ logistics from a recognized university
  •  

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience.
