Sr. Analyst - Internal Control, Processes & Systems

Role Purpose

The Senior Analyst of Internal Controls, Processes, and Systems will be responsible supporting Senior Manager/Director/Lead Internal Control, Processes and Systems for implementing, and managing the company’s internal control framework, focusing processes enhancement, relevant testing, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing the effectiveness of financial reporting systems. The ideal candidate will understand Accounting, Finance, Reporting and be able to support team to ensure better system control and other finance initiatives.

Accountability & Activities

Internal Controls Framework
Assist his/her reporting manager or team Lead in testing internal control and related finance process documents, with a focus on Accounting & financial reporting and material operational risks leading to financial impact, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting. This includes:
o Risk and Control Matrix preparation/update
o Process understanding and walkthrough
o Design and Effectiveness testing of controls
o Gap remediation and follow up
o External Audit management support
Continuous Control Monitoring:
Continuously review current system posting and optimize accurate accounting in right General Ledger and Cost center.
Continuous review and update of Finance policies and procedures to keep it up to date.

Test S4 Application Control:
 Identify and test various system control to ensure that there is no bypass available in system and workflows are being managed as per the DOA in ERP.

Audit and cross department Coordination
Assist business users to moderate discussion with internal and external auditors, facilitating
documentation requests, and ensuring the timely resolution of audit findings.
Work on cross department alignment and process enhancement to ensure ease in
operation.

Systems Integration and Optimization
Support and contribute for various system (including SAP, SCH, Salesforce, L2,
SuccessFactors, etc.) integration and optimization for accurate/controlled accounting and
reporting, ensuring that systems supports robust internal controls and accurate reporting.
Provide Finance control and governance input into system design, workflows, approval
matrices, access controls, segregation of duties, system configurations, and key automated
controls.

Finance Initiatives and other mandates
Support or initiate key finance initiative for continuous improvement and management
support. Ensure successful and timely completion of any tasks assigned by reporting
manager as part of day-to-day activities or presentations.

Reporting and Monitoring
Continuously monitor and take necessary actions on open audit or ICFR points and support
business team by guiding them and helping them to take necessary action to close the point.
Contribute his/her own expertise to resolve the issue proactively.

Minimum Qualification
(Educational Qualifications,
Trainings, or Certifications)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or
a related field.

Professional Experience
• At least 3 - 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance
and Bookkeeping.

Language(s) Known
• Arabic
• English (Preferred)
