Supervisor- CNC

Role Purpose

To assist in various jobs carried out in the Roll Shop.

Accountability & Activities

Key Activities

Responsibilities:

• To clean all the used Stands and Roll chocks coming from the mill.
• To assist the technicians wherever required.
• To assist the technicians during size change activities in the mill.
• To ensure the washing area and Roll Shop working area are kept clean and tidy.
• To observe safe working procedures.
• To help in the other areas of the Roll shop as and when required

1. Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of the rolling process.
• Knowledge of all equipment used in the Roll shop.
• Knowledge to maintain the work records for future reference.

• CNC machines programming
• Knowledge about Tungsten carbide ring grinding.
• Knowledge about rolls machining using CNC machines.
• Tooling requirements for roll shop machines
• Understanding the maintenance requirements of CNC machines and the effective implementation of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Product specifications and quality requirements in high-speed wire rod and bar mills
• Basic computer skills
• Technical report writing skills
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings.

Ensure Safety and Regulatory Compliance:

• Support the promotion of a strong safety culture by actively participating in safety initiatives and fostering safe work practices. Assist in managing safety risks, monitoring equipment, and contributing to performance outcomes. Ensure compliance with EHS legislative requirements and the Company’s EHS policies, procedures, and standards among team members and contractors.

Qualifications/Experience

Minimum Qualification

(Educational Qualifications, Trainings, or Certifications)

• Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Operation and maintenance of CNC machines.

Professional Experience

8 Years’ experience in similar skills

Language(s) Known

• Arabic (Preferred)
• English (Essential)
